Property Description

This rare high desert beauty offers something increasingly hard to find: land with life already flowing through it! A traditional acequia winds along the property, its banks lined with mature trees and lush, thriving growth that shifts with the seasons — glittering leaves rustling overhead in the summer, golden light filtering through in fall, the quiet hush of snow settling along the water's edge in winter. It's the kind of soundscape you build a home around: moving water, wind in the branches, and the layered stillness of northern New Mexico. This lot puts you just minutes from the heart of Arroyo Seco, a village with a character all its own. Grab a coffee or a healthy bite at Sol Food cafe and market, enjoy fresh fare and local charm at Aceq or Medley, or unwind with a beer at Abe’s after a day spent dreaming up your future home. Wander a few local shops — a mercantile stocked with everyday treasures, a vintage shop full of stunning finds, and ceramics studios turning out one-of-a-kind pieces — all part of the creative, close-knit spirit that defines this corner of Taos. This is a chance to build where water, trees, and mountain air meet small-town charm — a setting equally suited to a quiet homestead or a design-forward retreat. Opportunities like this, with live water already on the land, are increasingly rare and highly sought after. Need more space to make your dream a reality? The adjacent 1.1 acres sister lot is available as well with a discount offered for the purchase of both!
