Property Description

History in the Heart of it all! Tucked into one of Taos' most coveted in-town locations, this charming adobe retreat places you just moments from Red Willow Park, the Historic Plaza, restaurants, galleries, and everything that makes downtown living so desirable. Rich with character, this home, dating back to the 1850's, offers three bedrooms and three baths across two thoughtfully designed levels. The heart of the home is a welcoming kitchen anchored by a classic kiva fireplace—perfect for gathering with friends on cool mountain evenings. Warm wood floors throughout, viga ceilings, plastered walls, and deep window sills all echo the past in the sweetest Old Taos way. Upstairs, the primary suite features a luxurious bath with a deep soaking tub and a fireplace. There is also a rooftop deck providing a private perch for morning coffee, sunset skies, and stargazing under Taos' famous night skies. Outside, discover a surprisingly expansive and lush backyard oasis filled with mature landscaping, peaceful sitting areas, and a stunning natural stone fountain. A detached studio building, currently used as a music studio, offers endless possibilities as a creative workspace, art studio, home office, or guest overflow. Adding even more flexibility, one bedroom and bath feature a separate entrance, creating an ideal lock-off suite for guests, multigenerational living, or potential rental income. Rarely does an in-town property combine historic charm, privacy, flexibility, and true walkability so effortlessly. This is Taos living at its best.
